Terms of Service of the Flowbily desktop application
These terms of service govern the rights and obligations between the Provider and the person who uses the Flowbily desktop application (the “User”).
Last updated: 10 October 2026
1. Identification of the provider
The operator and provider of the Flowbily application is:
Business name / first name and surname: Belvela s.r.o.
Registered office / place of business: Petříkov 101, 251 69
Company ID (IČO): 04293002
E-mail: info@belvela.com
(the “Provider”).
2. What Flowbily is
Flowbily is a desktop application developed in Python, intended in particular for importing and processing calendar events, preparing invoicing data, creating invoices, and exporting invoicing documents.
Depending on the available features, the application may in particular allow:
import of calendar files;
connection to Google Calendar through Google authorisation;
processing of event data for invoice preparation;
creation and export of invoicing documents;
licence verification and downloading of updates.
The specific features depend on the application version and the type of licence granted.
3. Formation of the contract and acceptance of the terms
The contractual relationship between the Provider and the User arises in a manner corresponding to the application offer, an order, the purchase of a licence, or another way in which the application is provided.
During installation, the User may be asked to confirm that they have read and accept these terms of service. The Provider may record the version of the terms, the date of acceptance, and technical data necessary to evidence conclusion of the contract.
The personal data protection policy is a separate document. Confirming it during installation does not by itself constitute consent to all types of personal data processing.
If the User is a consumer, the relevant mandatory consumer-protection rules also apply.
4. Licence to use the application
The Provider grants the User a non-exclusive right to use the Flowbily application to the extent corresponding to the purchased, assigned, or otherwise agreed licence.
The licence may be time-limited or perpetual, paid as a one-off fee or based on a subscription. The specific conditions are governed by the offer, the order, or the description of the relevant licence plan.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise, the licence is not transferable to another person and does not entitle the User to resell, sublicense, or unlawfully distribute the application.
The User must not remove copyright notices or interfere with the application’s protective mechanisms in a way that violates legal rules or the Provider’s legitimate interests.
This is without prejudice to rights granted to the User by mandatory law, including any statutory rights relating to interoperability of computer programs.
5. Price, payments and subscription
The price of the application, licence, or subscription is stated in the offer or order before the contract is concluded.
Before payment, the User must be informed of the price, any taxes, the method of payment, the licence term, and other essential conditions.
If the application is provided on a subscription basis, the subscription term, the price for the relevant period, the renewal method, and the termination conditions must be stated before the order is placed.
Automatic subscription renewal may be used only if it has been duly agreed and the User has been clearly informed of its conditions in advance.
Unless a specific offer states otherwise, there is no entitlement to paid features before the relevant licence is activated and the agreed payment conditions are met.
6. Installation, licence and updates
The application may communicate with the Provider’s server to verify licence validity, manage usage rights, provide security, or obtain updates.
This communication may involve processing data necessary for those purposes, such as a licence identifier, application version, verification status, and basic technical information.
The content of calendar events and invoicing documents is not sent to the Provider’s server unless such a feature is expressly introduced and the User is informed of it in an appropriate manner.
Availability of online licence verification and updates may depend on internet connectivity, server operation, and other technical conditions.
The Provider may release fixes and updates. The scope of updates provided under the licence is governed by the agreed conditions.
7. Importing and connecting calendars
Flowbily may allow import of calendar files and connection to Google Calendar through the Google API.
When connecting to Google Calendar, the User separately grants permission through Google’s authorisation process. Those permissions are not replaced by acceptance of these terms of service.
The User is responsible for having the right to access imported calendars and files and to use their content for the intended purpose.
The User may revoke Google Calendar permissions in their Google account settings. This may limit or terminate the connection.
8. Invoices and responsibility for their content
The application provides tools for creating invoices, preparing invoicing data, and exporting documents.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise, the application does not replace accounting, tax, or legal advice.
The User is responsible for checking that data on issued invoices is correct and complete, in particular identification details of the supplier and customer, the description of the supply, amounts, tax treatment, dates, and due dates.
Before sending or booking an invoice, the User must verify that it matches the facts and the applicable legal rules.
The Provider does not warrant that every invoice created through the application will, without further review, meet all accounting, tax, and legal requirements of the particular User.
9. User data and backups
The User is responsible for securing their device, access credentials, and data stored locally on the computer.
The Provider recommends regularly backing up important documents, invoices, settings, and other data whose loss could cause damage.
If calendar data and invoicing documents are stored only on the User’s device, their backup and management are governed by that device’s settings and the User’s procedures.
These terms do not authorise the Provider to access local data that the User has not separately provided.
10. Intellectual property rights
The Flowbily application, its source code, graphic elements, documentation, and other components may be protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights.
Granting a licence does not transfer ownership or any other rights in the application beyond the expressly granted authorisation.
Third-party components may be governed by their own licence terms. This is without prejudice to rights arising from the relevant licences or legal rules.
11. Availability and technical support
The Provider aims for the application to work in line with the description of offered features and the requirements of the specific version.
Functionality may be affected by the operating system, computer settings, internet availability, changes to external services, or changes to the Google API.
The scope of technical support, the period for which it is provided, and any fees are governed by the specific offer or agreement with the User.
If statutory requirements on conformity of digital content or a digital service apply to the contractual relationship, those rights remain unaffected.
12. Liability
The User is responsible for using the application correctly, checking output documents, and complying with the legal duties that apply to them.
The Provider is not liable for errors caused by incorrect input data, unsuitable device settings, or third-party interference, except where the Provider is liable under applicable law.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability to the extent that such exclusion or limitation is not permitted by law.
In particular, this is without prejudice to statutory consumer rights, rights arising from defective performance, or liability that cannot be contractually excluded.
13. Termination of the licence and the contract
The licence may end upon expiry of the agreed term, termination of the subscription, agreement of the parties, or in another manner set out in the contract or by law.
After the licence ends, the User must stop using paid features to the extent they no longer have the right to use them.
Termination of the licence does not by itself mean that the Provider gains access to the User’s locally stored data or automatically deletes it.
Any refunds, withdrawal from the contract, and settlement of the subscription are governed by the relevant contractual terms and legal rules.
14. Consumers and the right of withdrawal
If the User concludes the contract outside their business activity, they may be a consumer under Czech law.
In that case, the relevant consumer-protection rules apply to the contract, including pre-contractual information duties and any right of withdrawal.
For distance contracts, the right of withdrawal may in certain cases be limited or expire only if specific statutory conditions are met. Downloading or installing the application does not by itself mean that the consumer has validly waived that right.
If the supply of digital content starts before the withdrawal period expires, the Provider will request the necessary express consents and confirmations only to the extent required by law.
15. Personal data protection
Information on personal data processing is set out in a separate document, Personal Data Protection Policy and GDPR, available at https://www.flowbily.com/privacy.
Personal data is processed in accordance with the applicable legal rules. Acceptance of these terms of service does not automatically constitute consent to all types of personal data processing.
16. Governing law and dispute resolution
These terms of service are governed by the law of the Czech Republic.
This is without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights arising from legal rules that apply to the particular contractual relationship.
A consumer may, in cases provided by law, use out-of-court consumer dispute resolution before the competent body. Information on the competent body and current dispute-resolution options will be provided by the Provider on request.
17. Final provisions
The Provider may update these terms of service, in particular if the application features, the business model, or legal rules change.
The current version will be published on the Flowbily website. Changes to already concluded contracts are governed by the agreed terms and the applicable legal rules.
If any provision is found invalid or ineffective, this does not by itself affect the validity of the remaining provisions.
